I agree that the lack of communication is the key to the frustration. There is a difference between disappointment (delay, cancel, modification) versus disenfranchization. I can be unhappy with a decision but respect the company's decision because they valued me as a participant. Instead, the general sense is most of the interested people are disenfranchised . I imagine thare are also people who forgot the $100 and moved on.... however those consumers were not the advocates for success - the unhappy people are and now they are .....I think Stellantis going a bit too far to release order book and other information to Jeep EV certified dealers on the Grand Wagoneer REV without even a peep to Insider+ member more tied to the RAM REV. I am personally more interested in the Truck...but to announce the Jeep version of this truck and not even give Insider+ member any option to apply that perk to a sister brand that tends to be sold along side Ram everywhere is also a big miss.
But even if you aren't going to expand Insider+ to include ANY Stellantis product that is an EREV as it probably should even though it wasn't offered on the Jeep side at the Grand Wagoneer REV announcement time...you need to at least update all Ram REV Insider+ members on the current Ram REV Insider+ status and plans and what we would really get "early" now that we are for sure not going to be "early" as far as Stellantis STLA Frame based EREVs go more broadly.
I am not even all that annoyed the Jeep will all the sudden be out maybe sooner...the annoyance is the lack of communications and updates that were promised even as it become clear the platform it's based on is starting to enter production on a similar product. Really we should get access to this sister product also as part of the perk honestly....but I get that was TECHNICALLY promised so much as RAM only specific stuff.
Anyhow if RAM just wants folks to cancel I suggest they just kill the program and refund everyone if the intention is to have minimal Insider+ events and perks and it turns into some pure early order only kinda perk. That perk was never gonna be great for many of us the way the dealer networks and allocations work anyhow....so most of us were likely doing it more for early access ride and drive and other similar events that could be something that just includes the Jeep product also or only....and no comms as they try letting folks start buying those suggests that's not happening.
