Delay until next Spring for the REV...Grand Wagoneer REV still coming in November. Not sure this will surprise anyone now that it's September and still nothing getting communicated on the Ram REV.

  • What's new: Stellantis is delaying the start of production for its Ram 1500 Rev and Jeep Grand Wagoneer plug-in hybrid models, according to Automotive News.
  • Why it matters: The Ram Rev — originally named Ramcharger — was originally expected to arrive in late 2025. Ram previously confirmed it would no longer develop a fully electric version of its full-size truck.
  • Edmunds says: With an expected starting price of $70,000 to $75,000, the Ram Rev plug-in hybrid could be a compelling option for pickup truck buyers — if it ever actually goes on sale.

CTech reviews on youtube just posted the launch dates, apparently they moved the Grand Wagoneer REEV ahead of the 1500, those should start in November. The 1500 now has a launch date of April (at least they have a month listed now, instead of "late 2026" or "early 2027" so that give me hope. I would like mine before camping season, so April works for me . . . still holding out hope.

#edit maybe I should have read a few posts ago lol, same information, but now from 2 different sources so it appears to be valid.

Yeah...there has been some sorta leak by supplier is what is sounds like. So this is probably finally somewhat more realistic plan they just don't want to talk about and just the behind the curtains things related to when some supplier now is on the hook to deliver REV bits to SHAP and Warren Truck.

Think the sloppiest part is if this isn't a priority, just say so and give at least the folks who put up $100 the latest and greatest provisional time for Job 1 on Ram REV. Would probably have a lot more pre-orders held rather than refunded just by doing that.
 
Several are reporting all this and they are adding that the new RAM CEO has a big focus on quality and had to rehire 2000 electrical and software engineers so they dont have a bad launch like the charger ev's. I think this may have some merit, but more is the lack of capacity at SHAP for anything non-hemi right now. I still think this is a mistake because they are discounting Rams like crazy right now because they are sitting on lots (average of $13k off MSRP according to the Ram website) which means they pushed off a great new product for an older product that isn't really selling that well.

$13k off MSRP has been a thing with RAM for years, it's really not an outlier. I do hope they get the electrics right, as they've had pretty sketchy track record on that. Couldn't even properly launch the 1.7kw inverter option for like years now.
